The economic impact of COVID-19 is unprecedented. The Italian pharmaceutical association Farmindustria has been in the middle of the pandemic in Italy and will share their experiences of the impact on cancer care, the industry and access. What does the economic crisis mean for cancer funding? Bengt Jönsson, Institute of Health Economics, Sweden, and co-author or the Comparator Report on Cancer in Europe, and will give an economic perspective. Finally, MEP Tomislav Sokol and Antonella Cardone from European Cancer Patient Coalition will add their views from a European Parliament and a patient organization perspective.
